Hot Fudge Pudding Cake

From Grandma's Recipe Box: Hot Fudge Pudding Cake. It's gooey, crispy, fudgey... all the dessert feels on this one.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 T oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 3/4 cup hot water

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Whisk together first 5 ingredients
  • Add milk and oil, mix well
  • Pour into greased 9x9 pan. Spread evenly, it will be thick.
  • In another bowl, mix together brown sugar and cocoa powder. Sprinkle on top of cake.
  • Pour hot water over brown sugar/cocoa mixture.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes.
  • Let cool slightly and serve with ice cream.
