White Chocolate Mousse

Four ingredient white chocolate mousse. Its easy, quick, delicious and a perfect make-ahead recipe for the busy holiday season.

What's great about mousse is that its interchangeable with toppings, even swapping out the white chocolate for dark chocolate. Whatever your heart desires. You can add extra chocolate toppings, raspberries, blueberry compote, sprinkles, or even some additional whipped cream.

Bonus points if you add on top of some homemade cheesecake…that’s the beauty of this mousse.

See. This is all you need. Well, and a mixer.

The chocolate needs to chill a bit before adding to the room temperature cream cheese.

Mix together the chocolate, cream cheese and whipped topping. SO simple and quick.

It keeps VERY well, so this is a perfect make ahead dessert for the holidays. It’s very rich, so I placed this in a shot glass, but small serving cups would work also. You could also do a ‘make your own mousse’ with a toppings bar.

Ingredients

  • 4 oz white baking chocolate

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream

  • 3 heaping tablespoons powdered sugar

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened

Instructions

  1. Melt white chocolate in microwave, 30 second increments or on a lower power setting until starting to melt. Make sure to stir often until melted.

  2. Set aside to cool.

  3. Place cream in mixer with whisk attachment. Beat on medium high until soft peaks form. Add powdered sugar. Beat on medium until stiff peaks. Set aside.

  4. Mix cream cheese and white chocolate. Once blended, add whipped cream to chocolate mix. Whip until combined.

  5. Chill in fridge.

Instructions

I did find it spreads easier and remains creamy when its more room temperature. So fill your cups ahead of time to keep the smooth and creamy look for serving. THEN chill.
