Fresh green beans cooked in bacon grease reserves. A main dish or a side dish that you'll find yourself making on repeat.

Brown the bacon until crispy. Remove bacon and set aside on a paper towel lined plate. Reserve about 3 tablespoons of bacon grease to use for the remainder of the salad.

Add red onions to the bacon grease. Cook for a minute or two then add the green beans.

I didn't blanch the green beans, but you definitely can. Just make sure they are nice and dry before you add them to avoid grease splatters.
I cooked them for roughly 15 minutes, but cook to your liking of crispness.
Add garlic during the last minute. Remove from grease and toss in bacon.
Serve immediately. I hope you enjoy this salad as much as we do! Its the best way to eat green beans.
